ABOUT ME

I started my career as a clinical psychotherapist serving individuals and families with mild to sever substance abuse, depression, anxiety, stress, and eating disorders. As you can imagine, I had significant exposure and experience helping individuals and families solve their most pressing life and death problems.

In addition to my clinical practice, I worked closely with the mental health community to deliver presentations and workshops to bring awareness to and de-stigmatize these diagnoses. I taught courses on such topics as understanding and surviving depression, stress management, cognitive restructuring, assertiveness training and other health and wellness topics, These years taught me a tremendous amount of information about the human condition as well as the struggle and need for every human being to be happy, achieve and succeed.

These years laid a solid foundation for all of my future work with individuals, teams and organizations. I transitioned from psychotherapist to coach, consultant, trainer, and organizational development in the employee assistance field. This work gave me tremendous opportunities to work with start-up's to Fortune 500 companies. I also worked briefly in the field of benefits and human resources.  I used my knowledge and expertise to effectively work with individuals and organizations to create great workforces with great people through coaching, training and development.

My passion is to help organizations achieve their mission and vision while enhancing the skills, knowledge, tools and expertise of employees - the true engine of all companies.  It's all about knowing yourself and others -  people getting along, communicating effectively, solving problems all the while producing a product or service. No one likes problems or conflict.  My work is focused on helping individuals gain knowledge and power (INFO-POWER™) as well as helping organizations to do exactly the same. It's ESP: Easy, simple and practical

Along the way I published a book, "Attracting the Right Person into Your Life, The Real Truth" (2010)  and co-authored "The Power of Leadership in Business Networking", Chapter 14, Women Supporting Women. I've also had various articles published in print and online and I write a monthly newsletter.

Count on me to walk my talk! I have taken the DISC and work hard at understanding myself and others.  I am a high S and I!  What does this mean to you and my work with you as an individual or organization? Through my leadership, and direction, I am service oriented, a great listener, empathic, persuasive and inclusive. I don't want others to feel left out.  At the same time, I am focused on driving results and making sure goals and objectives are met through careful evaluation, analysis, planning and execution. Feedback is important to me. I am enthusiastic, open and driven to create a happy and healthy workforces.

Originally from the heartland, St. Louis, Missouri, I migrated to Northen California in 1993. Based in San Diego, California, my coaching and training practice is nation-wide.
