THE Dating Cafe Changes Lives
Being a widower and spending more than a decade in the dating world, I didn't think there was much more I could learn about dating, relationships and myself!

I was totally confident that all I needed to do is keep meeting women and eventually I'd find the right one – like a numbers game. I’ve met a lot of great women, but never the right one.

Participating in THE Dating Cafe monthly events affirmed I am doing many things right in how I meet and interact with women. However, participating in Mary’s workshop ‘How to Attract the Right Person into Your Life’ helped gain me clarity and focus in my dating and relationship knowledge and skills. Her keen assessment of me and my situation strongly challenged me to make some changes! I’ve learned to be more vulnerable and to spend less time on relationships that have no potential for true love. I also learned that getting in touch with my sensing skills and trusting my intuition will help find the right woman for me, even though it's not easy for an analytical-thinking scientist like myself! Mary’s “Attract the Right Person into Your Life” workshop reminded me of the need, not just want that all adults have for genuine love. I know who the right person for me is and can literally describe her to you. I look forward to meeting her soon!

"I called Mary when I felt my career had stalled and I was stuck."

For about a year I had worked in a position that had promised me all the things I wanted, yet delivered none of them. I had started looking for other employment, but the current economic conditions found me struggling to get the results I wanted.

During our coaching sessions, Mary helped me focus on the specific issues with my job, during which time I realized what a truly abusive work environment it was, what that environment was doing to my self-confidence and what it could do to my reputation if I stayed with that employer. She had me develop specific core values for my career and helped me get in touch with my intuition in order to recognize these important values in potential employers. We also honed my assessment and interviewing skills. With Mary's help I developed a win-win exit strategy and put it into action. With my focused job search, I found a new position that met all of my personal and professional needs and am very happy in my new job. Mary helped me rediscover my power.

What is most inspiring is that it didn't stop with me. During the course of my job search, I shared what I was learning with other women in my abusive work environment. We shared contacts and resources with each other, provided references, and in the span of a few months we have all moved on to better jobs. What a wonderful example of what women can accomplish when they support and empower each other, and I thank Mary for reminding me of that.

My kids are raised, and I decided it’s time for me to find that right guy. When I read about The Dating Café in the North County Times newspaper, it sounded like just what I needed -a great way to meet quality people over 40 that share the same goal – meeting other great people. Whether the meetings turn into a friendship or more, the opportunity to meet new people and socialize in a great environment is there for the taking. The atmosphere of The Dating Café is quaint and inviting. There is always great food and drink and it’s just a pleasant way to spend a few hours a month “getting out there” in the dating scene. I have been to three of the Dating Café events and have met, dated and kept in touch with two great gentlemen. I plan on attending regularly to meet new people and touch base with friends I have already made at The Dating Café. I highly recommend it, so take the first step – it’s really not painful at all!
